Hi Shooters and welcome to the FHSRA shooting page, my name is Stephen Taylor and I will be the director for this coming year, I hope we have a great turn out this year, please help promote our shooting events to friends and family members. A lot of folks do not realize that High school Rodeo has shooting events, I know that Florida has a great deal of shooting talent out there and My goal is to attract that talent with hopes to one day over the next few years 'bring back a National Champion in both trap & light rifle, from the National Finals of High School Rodeo.



What you will need to Bring
Light Rifle Shooters
Shooting Matt ( in can be a simple exercise matt just something to place on the ground)
Ammo (no hollow points) 
we will be shooting 2 events so please bring enough ammo for that, which would be 81 rounds to complete the 2 events.


PLEASE REVIEW THE LIGHT RIFLE RULES AND IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE SPORT REVIEW THE 3 SHOOTING POSITIONS IN THE RULSES SECTION 5.1 THRU 5.7

Your Gun must be 22 cal no 22 mag, It may have a scope no more than 10 power, Gun may not weigh more than 8.5 lbs, trigger pull may not be less than 2lbs. You may use a sling which must attach to your bisep to the front of the fore stock of the gun, you may also use a glove on your off hand. the type of sling can be found on a shooting supply web site, this is optional for the shooter not required. the sling can only be used in the prone & kneeling position, You may also us a kneeling roll, ( please review the LIGHT RIFLE Rules for slings and rolls it is explain in 3.11 & 3.12 of the rule book.)
You will need an Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) this can be a piece of weed-eater string cut to fit the length from chamber to end of barrel.  

Trap Shooters (shot guns no larger than 12 ga, please review the traps rules ,if this is your first time I recommend reading through the rules.)
ALL RULES CAN BE FOUND ON THE SHOOTERS PAGE ON THE WEBSITE.

ALL SHOOTERS MUST HAVE EYE AND HEARING PROTECTION.

Event Fees
we will be shooting 2 events for each, this will be every month we shoot , 
it will be $30 per event you may mail your payments to FHSRA Treasure, her information can be found under the directors page.

Raffle Tickets: for those that need to receive their tickets there will be some available at the Oct event.

Quail Creek lodge has lunch for $8-10 we can eat before trap of after, I think it would be nice to have lurch together, this is totally optional. This can be decided the day of the event,
